The Groom Went Boom!
In a surprising turn of events this evening what should have been a beautiful ceremony full of friends and loved ones ended in tragedy. The bride, Ms Harumi Blunt, was sparkling in white and waiting for her tardy groom. Pictures were taken, guests began to arrive and still the groom was missing. Amid speculation about the bachelor party and good natured ribbing the best man and owner of the Jade Dragon, Xianyong Su got word that the groom was in his lab and would be there momentarily.
As the guests were seated and the anxious bride prepared there was a moment of calm silence, and then it was shattered as the ATlanTech Systems building exploded. With a gut wrenching scream the bride took off running, intent on saving her groom. The bride’s mother, Mrs. Althea Blunt and the Maid of Honor, Kahlen Vaniva took off after her, though were unable to stop her. In the confusion, smoke and debris the young Miss Blunt disappeared. As the explosions continued and the fire blazed sounds of sirens and cries of the injured rang out. What had started out so hopeful quickly became a nightmare.
Officers and medical personnel amongst the guests immediately stepped in to see to the injured, the worst amongst them seemed to be the owner of DRF, Syrus Grayman who was struck by debris and suffered head injury. Many others were treated for bruises, abrasions and in the case of the bride’s mother, mental exhaustion and anguish. All were taken to DEMH for treatment and most released.
Police and Fire Department officials have stated that the explosion was the result of explosives planted through out the high security building. Clothing, reported to belong to the groom, Bill Van Horn, was found in the rubble. Mr. Van Horn is presumed dead. His family was unavailable for comment. Miss Blunt’s bridal bouquet and some faint shoe impressions were later found by Vance Clayton and pending this story the police will be notified. Miss Blunt is believed to be traumatized and possibly injured, current whereabouts unknown. Anyone with any information on her should notify the DEPD immediately.
