Rogue Rookie Rages

The new Lulu's entrance

This past weekend, Lulu’s Bar and Grill, was the location of a rather disturbing scene. A rookie cop by the name of Ivan Vancheskov entered the premises and began threatening Fenix Molotovski, co-owner of the bar and a sergeant with the DEPD. A review of the security camera footage showed that with little provocation, the rookie preceded to draw his tazer and fired at Sgt. Molotovski, narrowly missing the man. The situation later escalated when Officer Vancheskov pulled out a flashbang grenade and hurled it at Sgt. Molotovski, endangering the lives of anyone who happened to be in range of it’s blast. Sgt. Molotovski sustained lacerations from the rain of glass caused by the explosion, “Broken glass is a bitch,” he said. Keiran MacClawden, co-owner of Lulu’s and boyfriend of Fenix, was blinded by the light and spent a few days trying to regain his vision. No other civilians are known to have been injured. Lieutenant Shade Manx, responding to a call, entered the fray and subdued the assailant though no arrest was made.

While Officer Vancheskov’s motives are unclear, the evidence, such as sporting riot gear and toting flashbang grenades, points toward a hate crime against homosexuality. “It’s really no secret we’re Dead End’s favorite gay couple.” Sgt. Molotovski said.

Castel de Leon, lawyer to the victims was eager to point out that “Neither my clients or I blame the DEPD for this tragic event. One rookie should not reflect on the whole policia department. There are good men and women protecting this city, and they should not blamed for this one man.”

Sgt. Molotovski had the following statement. “Everyone, regardless of race, creed, or position in life, should understand the natural order of things and where they live in that order. If you’re at the bottom of the food chain, re-think your actions before you try to take on an Apex Predator.”

Officer Vancheskov was suspended from duty for a week without pay while the DEPD conducts its own internal investigation into the matter. More information on this situation will be relayed as it becomes available.

As of post time it has been reported the offending officer was given a weeks unpaid leave pending investigation.
