The picture above may look familiar to those of you regular readers. Sadly it graced our front page last Wednesday in a horrific story about an unidentified young woman who had been attacked in an alley near the Roughhouse.  At the end of the vicious attack the blonde was left unconscious in the street in front of Slim Goodies diner.

The young woman, previously unknown has been identified as  Grace Cassidy, 27, Born in Wyoming.  It is with a heavy heart  that one Wednesday later, this reporter must share the sad news, Ms. Cassidy was attacked on Monday shortly after being released from hospital and this time she did not make it.

Ms. Grace Cassidy, died at age 27. Attacker currently unidentified.

According to witness reports Ms. Cassidy was seen running up the road away from Ground  Zero Surplus and the Red Herring screaming for help.  As she ran, the weak and recently injured Ms. Cassidy stumbled and was kicked and then pinned to the road by a red headed female attacker.  The unidentified red head stabbed Ms. Cassidy several times and then left her body in the street near Sugar Rush like yesterday’s trash.  Unfortunately, an event that has become all too common in our fair city.  As if this wasn’t strange enough, Ms Cassidy’s assailant then walked into the local sweet shoppe to suggest that someone call 911 before walking off.

An anonymous 911 call was made and paramedics arrived on scene to find a very bloody and unconscious Ms. Cassidy.  Though valiant efforts were made in the ambulance to save her life, Grace Cassidy was pronounced dead at 6:45 pm on Monday night. As of press time her attacker was still unknown, and then DEPD has no leads despite continued efforts.
