Wednesday, April 16th marked the highly anticipated grand opening of DE’s own TKO Dojo. The self-defense studio offers group classes as well as private sessions to those seeking the knowledge and physical training to protect and defend themselves from any hostile attack. While group sessions may be an affordable option for some, TKO Owner, Andi Waters, offers an explanation why her private sessions are booking much faster.

“We’ve got a few classes scheduled, but I think most people are too shy for that.”

For the citizens of Dead End City, not seeking even basic self defense education could have potentially deadly consequences.

“People are attacked all the time, and I think if maybe they knew at least a few tricks, they might actually get away on occasion.”

A strong piece of advice, straight from the ass-kicking horse’s mouth.

The former Miss Kitty’s Tea House struggled while in business, so it’s no surprise that Ms. Waters decided to make a change. Although, it’s possible that the motivation to switch from kicking back to kicking ass came from an unfortunate traumatic experience.  Less than a month ago, the Dojo owner suffered her own run in with the “Rookie Rapist”, Tristan Malikov, whom Ms. Waters identified as her attacker as he was reporting for duty the following day. Mr. Malikov has reportedly been evaluated by medical professionals, and has been released from the Dead End Asylum.

Friends, families, and neighbors are urged to support each other in these dangerous times, and take advantage of the resources available right here in our city. After all, you never know what you will face just around the bend.
