Woman Murdered In Local Candy Shoppe

Sugar-RushThough the dog days of summer are still quite a ways off and july has yet to arrive already tempers flare and the murder count in Dead End is rising steadily.  The latest murder seems to be both an attempt at setting up the local sweet shop proprietress as well as a not so veiled threat.  A threat that clearly wasn’t found fast enough for the killer and prompted her to call police and report the deed, giving them
Earlier in the week a black clad woman wearing a clown mask and what police say may be a bright red wig broke into the  sweets shop.  CCTV footage shows the vicious masked woman wasn’t looking to swipe some sweeties but instead rage seemed to fill her as she slashed at sofas, pillows and personal items with a knife, kicked over the carousel and smashed the sweet bins to smithereens.  The colored lights that decorated the shop were painstakingly shattered leaving not a single bulb intact, the pricing boards ripped and tossed about. WHomever the masked woman was she clearly had a grudge.  The most gruesome part?  That would be the writing on the wall, in blood of course, that read ” Your time is coming”
” For a moment we thought it was that big booty girl, ya know tha one what runs it but then we found out she’s fine so we dunno who it is jus yet. We’ll see tho.. we always do. ” NPC Officer Hank Hardon
As the officers moved through the vandalism they noted a blood trail and followed it upstairs into the office where an unidentified white female was found on the floor.  According to Security footage the insane assailant first strangled the unconscious woman until death and then bludgeoned her with what appeared to be a hammer, used her blood to do the earlier mentioned writing and then carried the victim upstairs.  Once the unfortunate victim was deposited in the office with most of her face now missing the enraged attacker attempted to jimmy the safe, to no avail, and then destroyed the office scattering papers and books, overturning furniture and the like. With a final wave and obscene finger gesture the crazed killer made her way out of the shop and out of sight.
Police believe that due to the excessive rage and the fact that the victim was chosen seemingly for her physical likeness to the shops owner that the vandal and murderer is likely a disgruntled former employee or lover seeking revenge.  Currently Sugar Rush is closed for repairs, but should be back up and running by the week’s end and police promise to increase patrols of the area as this is not the only business to suffer a break in, though by far the most violent.
