City Wide Cleanup A Shining Success
The city wide clean up on Tuesday went off without a hitch despite wet weather conditions. The DEPD lead by Lt. Vanora Blackheart made a great showing and spend the afternoon and well into the evening working their way through Dead End with Community service people on hand to pick up the refuse that had been piled throughout the city over the past several months due to budget cuts.
“It worked out so well and we got so much done that it will likely be a part of the local community service detail from here on out. ” Pagan Neport, District Attorney
According to members of the DEPD several members of the community that were given community service failed to show up and as a result Judge Dorothy Gale has issued bench warrants for each citing ” Failure to Appear”. Upon arrest the named can expect to serve out the remainder of their sentence in jail without bail. Those that did arrive were treated to free food, and perhaps a free drink or two at Lulu’s bars as a thank you for making the city a more habitable place.
Amongst the thousands of pounds of old rubbish collected the Dead End Waste Management company noted that over a dozen trucks were filled, half a dozen refrigerators, several washing machines, old lockers, a football goal post, countless pieces of discarded furniture, a broken red bull machine, the counter and furniture from the old red herring complete with meteor damage, and boxes upon boxes of discarded nudie mags in addition to the usual rubbish. After the community clean up the city council sent word out that with the worst of the debris cleaned up and over time for the garbage men not needed, regular pick ups would once again commence. Good work and a special thank you to DEPD Members : Vanora Blackheart, Roxy Smythe, Shade Manx and Ming Yheng As well as to the District Attorney Pagan Newport and his community Service group Lucas Bayne, Zeke, Vie Bearsfoot, Morgi toretto, Skittlicious, Titi, Erica and Amanda Fitzgerald. You all did a stellar job!
