Red Herring Under New Ownerhsip
For years, the Red Herring has stood as a warm and inviting, happy little center of Dead End. Through hard work coupled with smiles and some excellent food, the coffee and pastry shop has remained one of the most popular spots in the city. Andi Richards was a frequent visitor to the bakery while she owned TKO Studios, so much so that people often said she smelled of cupcakes. So, when the Red Herring came up for sale, Ms. Richards pounced. Though she had to let the studio go to complete the sale, she was more than happy to get her hands dirty perfecting the oft requested sticky buns.
Now firmly in charge of the shop, Ms. Richards promises not to rock the boat and carry on the traditions that have made it such a popular destination over the past several years. While a few new items might pop up on the specialty menu, few changes appear to be on the horizon in terms of food and drink. So, don’t worry, those cupcakes and brownies are still gonna taste as scrumptious as ever. Well known traditions such as Topless Tuesday and Thong Thursday will continue though she suggested additional promotions will be on the horizon soon.
Currently, the Red Herring has partnered with Ruby Dove, owner of Spin Dizzy, for the special service known as Spinograms. This is a delivery service in which Red Herring and Spin Dizzy employees deliver packages and messages to the person of your choosing.
Mr. Richards noted the Red Herring is also in need of new employees. Fun, outgoing and even a little flirty are traits she’s looking for to fill out the staff. Of note, you must be comfortable with showing some skin in light of the special promotion days.
A grand re-opening is scheduled for Wednesday July 30th at 6:30pm as noted in a recent ad.
