For those of you who missed it, the Red Herring recently had their grand reopening full of all the delicious baked goods and tasty coffee anyone would want.  Citizens from all walks of life showed up marking the event as a success.  That is, until a few police arrived with a warrant in one hand and a tazer in the other.  New shop owner, Andi Richards is not shy about her affiliation with the vigilante group known as The Syndicate nor is she shy about admitting a crime she’s committed, especially if she feels it’s for the greater good.  Not long ago, we told you about a young woman named Song who had gone missing and was later found to have been buried alive.  Through evidence gathered by CSU units, police were able to identify Ms. Richards as the primary perpetrator in the case.

Lieutenant Vanora Blackheart arrived at the grand reopening with a warrant in hand but had opted to give Ms. Richards one more day of freedom before placing a pair of cuffs on the woman’s wrists.  The offer was not so well received.  In front of a host of patrons and friends, the two women argued until finally Ms. Richards had enough and planted one of her scrumptious cupcakes in the Lieutenant’s face.  Without much hesitation, the Lt fired back, literally, by aiming her tazer at a rather sensitive spot and pulling the trigger.  Lucas Bayne, owner of Easy 8’s and friend to Ms. Richards, who had been trying to verbally keep the peace, according to the cctv footage, was then warned to keep his mouth shut.  Apparently that was meant in the most strictest of sense as after tazing Ms. Richards in the same spot a second time and finally cuffing her, Mr. Bayne made mention of calling a friend.  That served as his ticket to jail once Rookie Officer Tyler Coy arrived and arrested the man.  A search of the man revealed a knife and a small amount of marijuana as well which only added to his charges.

Ms. Richards was booked on 22 counts for her mistreatment of Song and an attack on the Circus Maximus gang which occurred during the carnival a little over a week ago and had resulted in a full on riot.  According to sources, her case is being examined by the District Attorney for a likely lengthy trial in the near future.
