Witnesses tonight in Easy 8s experienced the injuries and possible death of two men outside of the popular business. Dead End police investigators are requesting the assistance of any residents that are aware of the identities of the two men and to help them solve the incident. One man was wrapped in a tan tarp, wrapped with rope around the feet, calves and shoulders and appeared to be dead on arrival and the other man appeared to be alive, but also may have significant injuries due to the fall per the statements of DEPD involved in the field investigation.

Witnesses Luna Ann Belle and Azreal Venom were available at the scene but were not able to provide any detailed statements to the incident. Ms. Belle was only able to state that “I didnt pay attention if there was two sounds.. just the one big crash and then we came to check it out…..Then we seen the two bodies.. and I called 911”. Mr. Venom did not provide any additional statements at this time.

Detective Kerri Oakleaf and Officer Shaun Weaver were the arriving officers on the scene. Det. Oakleaf and Ofc. Weaver stated that the dead body may have been already present before the other man had arrived. Both believe that the second man, who was living and transported to the hospital due to his significant injuries, may have crashed into the truck or bus stop due to a parachute accident; based on their observations of the parachute and smell of airline fuel on his body. The identities of both men remain unknown at this time.
