Cult Priest Dead After Kidnapping and Torturing Local Business Owner
On March 13th, Mrs. Vie MacClawden was abducted by then persons unknown and held against her will. On March 17th she was rescued after four days of torture, rape, and being drugged against her will. According to her statement, her abduction had a purpose. In addition to the physical abuse the woman endured during those days, mind altering substances were administered in an attempt to brainwash her and accept the ways of the new church, which relies heavily on a belief in abstinence and “moral purity”.
According to police reports the victim was held and tortured by members of the clergy on orders of Senator A.S. Smith-Hammer. Smith-Hammer, as earlier reported is the man responsible for the recent alcohol prohibition in Dead End, and is using our city as his pulpit to announce himself as a candidate in the next presidential race.
After giving her statement to the police, Mrs. MacClawden was driven to Easy Eights Pool Hall by Lieutenant Vanora Blackheart to recuperate amongst friends as she was still reportedly feeling the effects of the drugs administered. Upon arriving at the local drinking hole, Officer Blackhearts good deed of returning the woman to her friends was not met with thanks. It is reported that the bars owner, Lucas Bayne assaulted the officer. The reasons of which are unclear.
As Mr. Bayne hindered Lieutenant Blackhearts ability to perform her law enforcement duties several men entered the building, presumably the same men who held and tortured Vie MacClawden. A fight ensued between the men and friends and staff of Easy Eights as Blackheart was attacked by Mr. Bayne, inhibiting her from intervening as the church members was attacked.
While many details of the fight remain unclear, it is known that Vie MacClawden was able to stab one of her attackers before the rest of her cohorts dragged him outside and set him on fire, killing him.
The Police are currently Ms. Jennie Irelund, employee of Pharaoh’s Secondhand Books and the woman known only as Titi, owner of The Rough House, and Mr. Lucas Bayne, owner of the Easy Eights pool hall. Mrs. Vie MacClawden turned herself in for the murder of the priest. Mrs. Andi Bayne has also been arrested in connection with the murder.
