Captain Manx “Well Within Her Rights”
Yes, those were the words the Assistant DA used in a news conference about a recent incident involving Captain Manx. Surrounded by supporters, Captain Manx pleased with the findings.

Supporters gathering for the new conference held by the Assistant DA.
This in regards to a video on May 17th showing the Captain attempting to arrest a local woman by the name of Kiri Claridge. The Assistant DA stated, “At this time there will be no charges filed against Captain Manx as she feared for her life while attempting to arrest the woman in the video”.
The Assistant DA also stated the reporter was “obstructing justice” and the interference cause the Captain to be unable to complete the arrest. Kiri Claridge is still wanted by police and is considered armed and dangerous. There has been a $50,000 reward offered to any one who can provide information that leads to her capture.
One reporter on the scene called this “reward” more of a bounty. Which the DA responded this reward was to assist the police in the arrest not for vigilante justice. Anyone with information on Kiri Claridge should contact the DEPD.
Also, the Assistant DA stated “Anyone else involved in the incident is asked to turn themselves in for charges of obstruction of justice”. Adding “I hope to make it clear the men and women in uniform of this city are here to keep the people safe and they will take the necessary measures to do so, including force when necessary”.
Is our DA giving the men and women in uniform permission to be forceful, when they so see fit. We can only hope not, with police brutality being the headlines of so many stories today. One is left to wonder, does this really protect the citizens or are we now in even more danger. It seems that so many questions and concerns of local citizens are being swept away in the aftermath of this incident.
Captain Manx was asked if she was surprised by what the Assistant DA had said, and if she had anything to share with the citizens of Dead End. Captian Manx responded “The DEPD and myself are happy with the findings, since that is exactly how the scene happened, and that the DEPD is still looking for the suspect that has been wanted for some time in custody. We will always be here for the citizens of this city… That is all”
