Pawn Queen Xelan Morgath-Yheng Murdered

Newlywed Mrs. Xelan Yheng-Morgath had been serving her jail sentence in the Dead End halfway house when she was kidnapped from the pawn shop on Friday night. The kidnapper left her clothes, phone, and halfway house ankle bracelet behind.
For days, there was no word from Mrs. Yheng-Morgath. Her friends and family searched everywhere they could.
On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the Dead End Pawn Shop windows were boarded up, the door locked, and the regular clerk, Noodles, nowhere to be found. Upon entering, Ming Yheng and Dr. Princess Yheng discovered a strange Houdini-like water tank inside holding the lifeless body of Mrs. Yheng-Morgath.
Little more than a week after her wedding, Mrs. Yheng-Morgath had been viciously murdered by drowning after four days of torture.
The murderer left a clue to his identity by carving the word “Opus” into Xelan’s stomach. By signing his work, he identified himself as the serial killer Magnum Vectoscope, who has been terrorizing Dead End by sending videos of his “art” to the police department and other organizations to spread terror.
A video about Xelan’s demise is expected to be circulated soon.
The work of “Opus” is extreme, his torture and murder techniques not following a fixed pattern. His prior victim is understood to have been disemboweled. If there is any common theme in his crimes, it is the fact that women are the victims, and his abuse is aimed to hurt and humiliate in the worst possible way. A psychiatrist might confirm that these murders have all the signs of being the work of a true psychopath.
Tira Slade, Dead End Halfway House director, said “I have little I can say about Xelan’s reported death, other that it grieves me deeply. Xelan was the first transfer that the Halfway House received after opening. And in my opinion, there couldn’t have been a better first. Xelan is a wonderful young woman that met an untimely end in a way that simply is not deserved by anyone, man or woman.”
Also explaining the mission of The Halfway House, Slade said, “The Halfway House gives offenders the opportunity to serve out the rest of their sentence in an environment that hopefully will encourage growth and some change in how they make decisions and to learn better impulse control. Xelan had a job in an establishment that did not serve alcohol or pandering of flesh. This qualified her for the work release program and unfortunately allowed her killer to have ready access to her, making it easier to kidnap her.”
“Xelan was wearing a monitoring anklet which was removed. Had it not been removed, we would have been able to track where she was being held at. We are still investigating exactly how the monitor was removed as it is made of alloy that is not easily damaged or cut,” she adds.
Slade notes, however, that “Almost everyone deserves a chance, unless you are Magnum. Perhaps someone will find a way to give Mr. ‘Opus’ a taste of his own medicine.”
