Wheelchair Theft Victim Doesn’t Have A Leg To Stand On
There are over the course of time many different and varied crimes reported to the Dead End Daily News, but perhaps one of the most baffling or at least mean spirited crimes occurred recently, and this certainly could beone that may embarrass even the most hardened of criminals in our city, and that crime is the theft of a Wheelchair from outside the victim’s own apartment as she was being helped up the stairs to her apartment. Sarah Croftford a local resident who had been confined to a wheelchair after being discharged from hospital just a few days earlier had just returned home and was being helped up the stairs by Wendy a relative, but when she returned to fold up the wheelchair to make it easier to take indoors it was no longer there after being taken by an opportunist thief.
While Dead End Medical Department has graciously lent Miss Croftford another wheelchair until such time as her own is either found, returned or she no longer needs to use one to get around the Dead End Daily would like to appeal to whoever took the wheelchair to either return it or to leave it at the Dead End Daily offices on the corner of Lonely Way and Lulu Lane and we will see it is returned to her or you can ring us anonymously and arrange a time for someone to pick it up.
