Retro Party At Grand Re-Opening Of Slim Goodies Diner

Last night saw the grand re-opening of Slim Goodies, now under the stewardship of Manager and local businesswoman Roisin Fitzgerald.
The diner held a retro 50’s, 60’s and 70’s costume party. There was also a $500 dollar prize for the best outfit as well as free food and drink to patrons who had come to the opening and take part in the contest.
Many were surprised at the wide range of food and drink on offer. While Miss Fitzgerald had teased the reveal of the diner menu, few were expecting the range of food and drink on offer to be so expansive!

The diner certainly was busy with almost all but a few reserved seats being taken within the first fifteen minutes of the 5:00 p.m. opening. By 7:00 p.m., there seemed to be no let up in the amount of people filling the diner.
Many were very satisfied with their meals and complemented the service which managed to be prompt despite the many customers ordering food.

Miss Fitzgerald seemed to have split herself between meeting and greeting all customers, marshaling her staff, and somehow finding time to plate up and serve customers too.
It seemed to have been a very successful night and would certainly bode well for this famous Dead End landmark, and your reporter can’t end this report without her own recommendation that the Chocolate Shakes are a must-try.
